Macquarie Essential Assets Partnership (MEAP) is an investment fund with a high quality portfolio of essential infrastructure assets located in Canada and the United States.  In addition to AltaLink, MEAP's investments include the Sea-to-Sky Highway Improvement Project in British Columbia, Edmonton's Southeast Anthony Henday Drive Ring Road and a holding in Aquarion Company, which is one of the 10 largest privately-owned water utilities in the United States.   MEAP is managed by a subsidiary of Macquarie Group Limited (MGL), an Australia-based global financial services organization.  MGL is an experienced infrastructure funds manager, with approximately $50 billion in equity under management in infrastructure and adjacent sectors worldwide.
