50 Avenue in Calgary AltaLink is consulting with Calgary residents in the Britannia, Elboya and Windsor Park areas about proposed developments along 50th Avenue.  
AltaLink is currently working with an architect to develop potential options and is reviewing possibilities to determine the density of development that is appropriate in the area. AltaLink is also reviewing the options with the community Steering Committee, made up of members from Britannia, Elboya and Windsor Park.

753L Line Move AltaLink is proposing transmission line adjustments in the High River area. This project includes: 
  • modifying three existing transmission line structures
  • adding one new transmission line structure

901/925L and 929/932L Line Alteration AltaLink is proposing to raise transmission lines in the Rocky View County area to allow vehicles transporting high loads to safely pass under the lines. This project includes: 
  • replacing four existing transmission line structures with taller ones
  • adding two new transmission line structures

905L transmission line maintenance AltaLink is proposing to adjust portions of an existing transmission line as part of maintenance activities in the Edmonton area. This project includes: 
  • building mid-span structures between existing transmission structures, where necessary

908L/909L Midspan Structure Addition AltaLink is proposing to increase the wire clearance on a portion of existing transmission line, called 908L/909L which runs through the City of Edmonton. This project includes: 
  • adding one midspan structure between two existing steel lattice structures

908L and 904L transmission line projects AltaLink is upgrading its transmission system in the Edmonton area to make sure that a reliable supply of electricity is available for years to come. This project includes: 
  • 12 kilometres of new transmission line
  • rebuilding 50 kilometres of existing transmission line

928L Removal of transmission structures AltaLink is proposing to remove existing transmission structures on the 928L transmission line near the neighbourhood of Tuscany in Calgary. This project includes: 
  • removing ten existing transmission structures
  • restoring the area where the structures have been removed and recycling any reusable parts   

 

Project approved 
508L Airbreak Addition project AltaLink is upgrading its transmission system in the Stirling area to maintain the safety and reliability of the electric system in the area. This project includes: 
  • approximately 25 metres of new transmission line
