May 1, 2012: AltaLink selects two companies to act as EPC vendors.
After a fair, open and transparent procurement process, AltaLink L.P. has selected two companies to act as Engineering, Procurement and Construction vendors for direct assign and customer projects: SNC-Lavalin ATP Inc. and Burns & McDonnell Canada Ltd.
The vendors were selected after a competitive procurement process which involved three stages: Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Request for Proposals (RFP) and Negotiations. An independent fairness advisor (KPMG) oversaw the process and reports it was fair.
The contracts will be in place for five years.

AltaLink has released its Competitive Procurement Process Relationship Agreement Request for Proposals.
AltaLink's current contracted relationship for these services expires April 30, 2012. AltaLink is competitively procuring these services to follow the expiration of the current relationship. This RFP is the current stage of the procurement process.

AltaLink Releases EPC/EPCm Request for Qualification to the Market
On May 18, 2011, AltaLink released its Request for Qualification (RFQ) for Engineering, Procurement and Construction/Construction Management (EPC/EPCm) Services to the market.
AltaLink's current contracted relationship for these services expires April 30, 2012. AltaLink will competitively procure these services following the expiration of the current relationship. This RFQ is the initial stage of the procurement process. It will describe the opportunity, solicit innovative ideas and qualify firms for the next phase; the Request for Proposal (RFP).
