Capital Power has requested a connection to the transmission system to connect AltaLink's existing Whitla Substation at NW 33-7-9-W4 with Capital Power's proposed Shamrock Substation.
We are proposing to build approximately 12 to 15 kilometres of 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line. The final transmission line length is dependent on the final route selected, and approved, by the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC).
