Canadian Natural Resources Limited (Canadian Natural) has requested a connection to the transmission system for their proposed Kirby North Central Processing Facility. To facilitate this connection, Canadian Natural is proposing to construct a new substation and transmission line.
We are proposing to connect Canadian Natural’s proposed transmission line, to be called 789BL, to the electric system by connecting it to AltaLink’s existing 789L transmission line.
Although AltaLink’s project is separate from Canadian Natural’s project, it is required to facilitate the connection of Canadian Natural’s transmission line and processing facility. Canadian Natural will consult separately on their proposed transmission line and facility.
