Cypress Renewable Energy Centre LP. (Cypress) has requested a connection to the transmission system for their proposed Cypress Wind Power Project. The Cypress Wind Power project will supply electricity to the grid through their proposed Woolchester Substation.

AltaLink is proposing to construct a new transmission line, to connect Cypress’ proposed Woolchester Substation to the electric system by connecting it to an existing AltaLink transmission line in the area. The proposed project is located approximately 18 km southeast of the City of Medicine Hat.
