Garden Plain Wind Energy I Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta), is proposing to develop a wind power project called Garden Plain, located north of Hanna. To support this project, AltaLink is proposing communications equipment upgrades that are required to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the transmission system. These upgrades include the addition of underground fibre optic cable, which will provide the appropriate telecommunication links for the project.
