AltaLink has determined that an upgrade to the existing telecommunications tower at the Elk River Substation is required. The telecommunications tower has reached the end of its life and is proposed to be replaced as part of AltaLink’s ongoing maintenance program. The proposed telecommunications upgrade will allow us to maintain the safety and reliability of the electric system in the area.
