AltaLink will perform urgent repair work on its 754L transmission line to ensure a supply of safe and reliable electricity in the Bow Valley area.
Week of August 14: Helicopter and repair work
During the week of August 14, AltaLink will use a helicopter to perform work on a transmission structure that is located at the top of a steep slope and difficult to access. This structure is approximately three kilometres northeast of Dead Man’s Flats and five kilometres west of Exshaw. Residents of these communities may see or hear the helicopter intermittently between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. throughout the week.
Between August 14 and September 8, AltaLink ground crews will be completing urgent repairs on the 754L transmission line. Here is what residents can expect:
August 14 to 18: Locations between the east end of Canmore to approximately three kilometres west of Exshaw.
August 21 to September 1: Locations between Exshaw and approximately three kilometres northeast of Seebe.
September 5 to 8: Locations in Exshaw.
Residents may occasionally see or hear AltaLink crews and equipment in the areas between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday each week. No disruption to power is expected during this work.
