AltaLink is proposing to upgrade equipment at the Coleman Substation within the Town
of Coleman. The upgrade will ensure a reliable supply of electricity is available in the
area for years to come.

Planned power outage – May 2025

For AltaLink to safely begin upcoming work as part of this upgrade, a power outage is required. To minimize the impact to residents and businesses in the area, AltaLink has scheduled an outage to occur overnight. It is scheduled from 12 to 4 a.m. on May 14, weather permitting. The outage will impact the areas along Highway 3 from Island Lake to the western half of Blairmore.

What you may see or hear

In the days before and after the outage, you may notice crews in the area completing work.
