To connect Heidelberg Materials Canada Ltd’s (Heidelberg’s) Edmonton CCUS project to the grid, AltaLink is proposing changes to its transmission system within the City of Edmonton.

To connect Heidelberg’s proposed project to the grid, AltaLink is proposing to:

• modify its 747L transmission line by disconnecting it from EPCOR’s 711L transmission line and building approximately 250 metres of new transmission line to connect it to the 37S North Calder Substation
• modify the existing 37S North Calder Substation by adding one new 138 kilovolt (kV) circuit breaker
