Turning Point Generation (TPG) had requested a connection to the transmission system for their proposed pumped hydro energy storage (PHES) project. AltaLink had proposed to construct approximately five kilometres of new single circuit 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to connect TPG’s proposed Canyon Creek Substation to AltaLink’s existing 745AL transmission line.
