To connect Collisard Power Limited Partnership’s (formerly Kiwetinohk) Collisard Gas Generation Connection Project (formerly Little Flipi) to the grid, AltaLink is proposing changes to its transmission system. The project is located within Red Deer County, approximately 3.5 kilometres south of the Hamlet of Benalto.

AltaLink is proposing modifications to our existing Benalto Substation, which includes installing a 138 kilovolt (kV) circuit breaker and associated equipment to connect Kiwetinohk’s facility to the grid. All of the work will be taking place within the existing substation footprint and no fence expansion is required.
