The proposed project involves equipment upgrades at the existing Sherwood Park Substation, located along Carson Drive in the Sherwood Park community of Chelsea Heights, in SE-02-53-23-W4.

The proposed upgrades include:

• expanding a portion of the eastern substation fenceline to construct a new control building
• replacing an existing transformer with a new 138 kV (kilovolt) transformer and associated equipment
• replacing the existing circuit breaker with a new 138 kV circuit breaker and associated equipment
• upgrades to protection and control equipment
