The proposed project involves equipment upgrades at the existing Niton Substation, located in Yellowhead County, approximately five kilometres west of the Hamlet of Niton Junction in SW-34-53-13-W5.

The proposed upgrades include:
• installing two new 138 kV circuit breakers and associated equipment
• minor substation equipment upgrades
