2024 performance

  • A customer satisfaction score of 9.70 out of 10 in 2024 is our best to-date and an increase from 9.59 in 2023.
  • Electricity Canada recognized AltaLink with the President’s Award for Safety Excellence as the best performing transmission company with 300 to 1,500 employees.
  • We decreased our average customer outage time from 9 minutes in 2023 to 8.9 minutes in 2024.
  • AltaLink was named in Forbes Canada’s best employers list for 2024.
  • For our 2024 Pulse Survey, employee engagement increased by eight per cent from 2023.

In 2024, for the eighth consecutive year, AltaLink received Electricity Canada’s President’s Award of Safety Excellence as the best performing transmission company with 300 to 1,500 employees.

AltaLink employees and contractors who plan, manage, or work on our transmission line rights-of-way participate in training sessions to understand the importance of planning work-tasks and executing plans with safety top of mind.

AltaLink’s integrated Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) conforms with both the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System requirements, and the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System requirements. At AltaLink, health and safety excellence are core values for field and office employees. Our employees and contractors know that there is nothing more important than the safety of themselves, and each other.
