To connect Foothills Solar Limited Partnership’s (Foothills Solar) proposed Foothills Solar Farm project, AltaLink is proposing equipment upgrades at its Foothills Substation.

AltaLink’s proposed project is located at NW-8-19-27 W4 in Foothills County, approximately 11 kilometres northeast of the Town of High River. AltaLink is proposing to add one new 138 kilovolt (kV) circuit breaker and associated equipment to the existing Foothills Substation.
